Code of Conduct

In Spain, a Code of Conduct for an association serves as the foundational pillar for its ethical and compliance culture . It provides a practical framework that translates the organization’s core values—such as transparency, integrity, and independence—into clear, actionable behavioral guidelines for members, staff, and leadership.

We are a community of gamers who gather to share our love for tabletop games. To ensure a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive experience for everyone, we ask all members and players to abide by the following Code of Conduct:

Respect

Treat everyone with respect, regardless of background, experience, skill level, or game preferences. This includes respecting pronouns, identities, and personal boundaries.

Respect the venue, their staff, their services and their property.

Harassment

Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated, including but not limited to:

Physical or verbal threats, unwelcome attention, stalking, or following, discrimination or prejudice based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ability, or any other protected characteristic, offensive language, gestures, or jokes

Unwanted physical contact

If you experience or witness harassment, please speak to a club organiser immediately.

Sportsmanship

Win or lose, remember that we are here to have fun and enjoy the game. Be a gracious winner and a respectful loser.

Follow the rules of the game and play in good faith. Don’t cheat, argue excessively, or abuse loopholes.

Be mindful of your actions and how they might affect others. Avoid excessive noise, distractions, or behaviour that disrupts the game for others.

Substance Use

The use of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited within the club venue. Alcohol consumption is permitted only within legal limits and must not disrupt the enjoyment of others. Excessive intoxication or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated. Smoking is prohibited within the club venues.

Food & Drink

If the venue sells food and drink, please refrain from bringing your own food and beverages. Exceptions may be made for dietary restrictions or allergies, when communicated to the organisers beforehand. Please be mindful of spills and crumbs when consuming food and beverages. Dispose of waste properly, respecting the venue and fellow players.

Property & Equipment

Treat all Association and venue property, including games, furniture, and decorations, with respect. Handle everything with care and avoid causing damage. Clean up after yourselves and return games and equipment to their designated places. Do not modify or borrow club property without permission.

Responsibility

You assume all responsibility for your own belongings and actions during Tablero events.

You understand and agree that your attendance at Tablero events is voluntary and at your own risk.

Community

Be inclusive and welcoming to new players. Offer to teach games, explain rules, and answer questions patiently. Communicate clearly and respectfully. Listen to others, offer constructive feedback, and be mindful of your tone. Help us maintain a positive and friendly atmosphere for everyone.

Digital & Online Conduct

We expect the same level of respect and integrity online as we do in person. This applies to all club-managed digital spaces, including our website, forums, and communication channels. Harassment, “trolling,” or the spreading of misinformation will not be tolerated. Members are expected to use these tools for their intended purpose (game organization, community building, and club management) rather than for personal disputes.

Privacy & Data

We respect your privacy. Any personal information provided for club management purposes will be handled according to our Privacy Policy and relevant data protection laws. In turn, we ask that members respect the privacy of others; please do not share, distribute, or misuse the personal information or contact details of other members without their explicit consent.

Consequences

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent expulsion from the venue and/or Association, depending on the severity of the offence. The Association reserves the right to determine what constitutes a violation and take appropriate action. All parties involved in a dispute have the right to be heard by the Board before final disciplinary actions, such as suspension or expulsion, are enacted. Decisions made by the Board are final. By following this Code of Conduct, you help us create a welcoming and enjoyable space for everyone who loves tabletop games. Thank you for being part of our community.

Welcome and have fun!
